Its goal is to alleviate traffic congestion on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road as it heads south towards Al Yalayis Street and Jebel Ali Port, thus making the road more efficient. The anticipated reduction in travel time due to this bridge is enormous, at only 7 minutes, down from 21 minutes—a savings of 70%.
