On Thursday, President Sheikh Mohamed requested that all public school students’ debts be settled.
As part of the effort to encourage young education, unpaid debts totalling Dh155 million will be settled, according to a report on the state-run news agency Wam.
The program will help students who are citizens of the nation and enrolled in public schools. It will be implemented in tandem with the Emirates Schools Establishment.
According to the report, all debts would be paid off by the academic year 2023–2024.
