What is Zakat?
Zakat is an arabic word which means donate to the needy people / Almsgiving. Nisab (wealth above a minimum amount) should be payable by a wealthy people as the following mode
- Money
- Gold
- Silver
- Livestock
- Profession
- Company / Business
- Shares
- Dates
Calculate Zakat on Money and Pay Online
If an amount of money in one’s possession reaches the nisab and one year has elapsed, Zakat is obligatory and one must pay (2.5%) of the total amount; and to calculate it one should just multiply the amount by (2.5%) or divide it by 40.
- Visit https://www.zakatfund.gov.ae/zfp/web/calculation/individuals/moneyzakat.aspx
- Select the Country
- Select the Calendar type (Hijri / Gregorian)
- Enter the amount
- Click “Pay Online” which will redirect to payment form
- Select payment options where you can choose to pay via credit card / Bank Transfer (See the approved banks below) / VIP service / Donate to the Endowments
- Click Continue to complete the payment

- Select the Country
